Somehow I feel that something is not getting through here. Here we have a mid-tier headphone that is not a budget model but it comes with one cable assembly. And, though not bad in quality and improved in that aspect over past cable assemblies, doesn’t match this headphone tier level.

This increase in bass response tuning counterbalances criticism claiming an excessively bright sonic presentation produced by the Arya headphone lineup. This improvement has been present since the release of the Stealth variant nonetheless. Headband Then... I watched this the Josh Valour review of the 2021 Aryas ( https://youtu.be/omTbKWeG9K4 ), and decided I needed to hear it for myself. I am now A/B'ing a new pair of each, trying to see what I personally thought, and I must say... The 2021 Aryas probably deserve a different moniker than "Arya" as they sound radically different.
Sound of HiFiMAN Arya Organic
Do you need a power plant to drive it? No, not really but it can scale. Our testing gave us some lovely timbral variations ranging from cold, clean, and punchy to euphonic and creamy with mildly powered DAPs. However, the one consistency was a slightly polite delivery in all but the likes of the FiiO M17. As a standalone headphone, the Arya Stealth has a relatively neutral tonal quality through the mids going slightly north of neutral on the highs and a degree warmer and denser on the lows. Over-ear headphones are constantly evolving, with manufacturers giving us new ways to listen to the music we enjoy. One of the latest innovations in driver technology is stealth magnets, most recently seen with the Dan Clark Audio Stealth. Now HiFiMAN has updated one of its flagship models with this technology, the Arya. This will be the third version of the Arya to be released. Do the stealth magnets make any difference?
The clamping is just right also on the Arya Stealth. Not too much like the LCD-5 can get for my head and not too loose either that it hands uncomfortably on your ears. Amplifiers are required to provide adequate power to your headphone or IEMs to perform at their best. Simply put, amplifiers allow a weak audio signal to be boosted to a powerful one.It also has a tighter level of control on the bass, improved layering, and more headroom. The Arya Stealth also has a faster driver and one that sounds more resolving. It is on another level and rightly so. HiFiMAN Arya vs HiFiMAN Ananda: the Ananda and the Arya are somewhat similar, but the differences are enough to justify saying that they’re also quite different. The Arya have better bass extension as well as better layering and detail, plus they also have more bass in general; speed is better on the Arya as well, while physicality is comparable. Midrange is much brighter on the Ananda, where it has less presence in the lower region as well as more in the upper one – save for the peak in the upmost region of the Arya, where it is in fact brighter than the Ananda’s. Detail is slightly better on the Arya, which also has the upper hand when it comes to speed. Apart from the peak in the lower area on the Arya, the Ananda have more emphasised treble, although extension appears to be better on the Arya which also have better resolution. All technical aspects – soundstage, imaging and especially instrument separation – are better on the Arya. Mostly everything you love about the HiFiMAN Arya is still intact with the Organic. However, there are certain tweaks offered here that make things fresh, such as elements of the sound profile and build. The Arya Organic seems to cater to bass heads more than the previous iteration, but that doesn’t take anything else away from the Arya’s established sound. I think that will be its selling point both for those who haven’t tried the Arya yet or are looking to upgrade to something similar.
