About this deal

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and Karen Cole for the eARC, in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has many different plans for Juliette. This novella-length digital original bridges the gap between Shatter Me and Unravel Me from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45. I allowed myself to believe she’d seen a future for us; that she wanted to be with me and simply thought it impossible. The world didn’t want her, so she spent so much time alone with the words floating around in her mind, obsessing and obsessing about things she couldn’t have.

Cat is a normal British mum who is still reeling from her recent separation from her husband and finding herself suddenly a single mother of a five year old son. Now let’s take a look at each book in Shatter Me series individually and tell you what they’re all about. There has always been a darkness lurking in Juliette and with her devastation at these revelations, it threatens to consume her. If you love to experience thrilling literary adventure, you won’t refuse the captivating world of Destroy Me, a book by Tahereh Mafi.e. getting to know characters, learning of Cat and her weight issues (which at the time was brought up a little too much in the beginning but thankfully died down the further the story went) became like an addiction and I ended up reading more pages than I was used to so fast. It also serves as an interlude between novels since the events of Destroy Me take place after Shatter Me but before Unravel Me. The book starts right when Aaron got shot in his right arm by Juliette when she was trying to escape.

They decide the girl is already dead and an ambulance wouldn't help her, plus it would ruin their lives. One side effect of this is that throughout the book there are crossed out lines, as if Juliette is writing in a journal and crosses out things she initially wrote, but changed her mind. Destroy me novella change my whole perspective about Warner and I was able to understand the unravel me better. But, he can't stop thinking about her and it haunts him and he tries to do everything to get her back. This is a first Karen Cole for me so I wasn't 100% how I was going to jive with the author's writing style.

Cat has her flows, but you can't but feel her emotions and almost understand (but not forgive) her mistakes.

I pretty much whizzed through this book in just a couple of sittings - would have probably read start to finish in one if I hadn't had to sleep and go to work! What do you do if you suddenly see a photo-fit of yourself on the news, and the police want to interview you in connection with a murder that you know nothing about? The series - Shatter Me where the book is included has no explicit content but just described kissing. I slip my good arm into the sleeve of a blazer and allow the other shoulder to drape over the sling carrying my injured arm.

What would you do if you saw your face on the news as the suspect in a murder inquiry and to make things worse the victim is someone you knew. As I already said, I just couldn't bring myself to root for the main character as she was such a horrible person, and I found her even more disgusting after the final chapter. And I know that I might be wrong about all this, that I might get to be disappointed in the ending, but as long as I got to be in Warner’s mind for a just bit, as long as I got to see a different side of him, I will be happy. There’s a part of me clawing to break free from the cage I’ve trapped it in, banging on the doors of my heart, begging to be free.
