About this deal

OKI machines are the best at media handling thanks to their flat feed path, however, from our own tests we have found that OKI toner is not effective for foiling. If you’re looking to print only up to 300gsm then the best option would be the Canon iX6850 model – https://www. html as these can handle most media and use a pigment based ink which is better for uncoated papers. As most of the people, I am interested in printing on at least 220gsm (which is the weight of the paper I’m currently using) and I need a laser printer to apply foil with a laminator afterwards.

The matt or reflexive completion connected and the water-based covering (scattering covering) connected gives a smooth, shut surface which makes this paper harder to compose, print, or stamp onto. The mono toner on a colour device is not interchangeable with a mono only print toner, although I would expect the composition to be similar and so likely would work as the density would be high enough on something like a CLP680 – https://www. The media handling is only 220 gsm from the main tray and so you would have to print the 230gsm paper from the multipurpose feeder. Covered paper is the ideal outline printing sheet, simply a good fit for flyers, leaflets, and comparable visual items. The P800 has the best media weight handling of these machines (thickest papers use the fine art path) – https://www.

In addition to card printing, we now have 3 crafting printers the Epson ET-8500, Epson ET-8550 and the Canon PIXMA TS9550 printer. This machine also uses a toner that lends itself well to the foiling process, which cannot be said of any of the others available.

Due to its consistency, poster paper is well suited to outdoor use; its blue background stops coloured backgrounds from showing through. At the moment we are a really small business, we don’t have a large budget, and we don’t have a lot of space. I don’t know if you can help me, i’m looking for a low cost printer that can take 250gsm card maybe even 280gsm.

You could spend hours, maybe days, designing your job to look great only to undoall your hard work by selecting the wrong paper weight.

Using the recommended paper weight has a good impact on a printer and quality of the final print job. For infrequent use I’d recommend an Epson EcoTank Et-8550, it has a low running cost and high GSM support of 800.An Inkjet printer can have high running costs with your needs, and are slow to print, especially on thicker media.
