About this deal

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, our focus is on the wellbeing of our residents and employees. We are following government guidance and taking additional steps to minimise the risk of any outbreak in our homes. We are currently accepting designated visitors only. We continue to be here when people need us most, providing care when it is required, where it is required, be that in the hospice, in the home or in the hospital. Our service is boon for people new to genealogy, or to those of you who have busy lifestyles and do not have the time to do your own research. Mental wellbeing plays a vital role in your ability to develop confidence and connection as a parent.

Katherine House

Our community clinical nurse specialists specialise in palliative care in the community. Our hospice community services enhance the care already available in the community and not everyone needs to visit the hospice itself. Many people prefer to stay at home or in their usual place of residence during their illness and this is where our nurses can support you. Living Well services We offer a programme of support and activities designed to enhance the wellbeing of people affected by life-limiting illness. The service is run by a multi-professional team, including a nurse, healthcare assistant, chaplain, social worker, physiotherapist and lymphoedema specialist nurse. Living Well also provides carer support. Hospital support I manage an extensive training/assessment, competency programme for staff to ensure they have skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional care to highest of standards. It is important to me that our residents receive the best quality of life through daily fulfilment, excellent care and services and a home where they feel valued, respected, empowered and treated as a unique individual with their own wishes and choices, creating a home from home environment.

The Resource Centre is a collaboration between expert research writers, clinical staff and service leads from across the hospice, providing practical and helpful information to support everyone who is learning to live with an end-of-life diagnosis and grief following a bereavement. Play our raffle, which happens twice a year, and be in with the chance to win cash prizes and other items. Join our lottery I love talking to people and being involved in making a difference to the residents in our home in any way I can. We couldn't provide the wide range of holistic servicesto our patients and their families without the help of our community. I have 35 years experience working in different care settings specialising in mental health/psychology, dementia, residential/nursing care of the elderly. My role is to provide support with the management of the home, delivering the highest standards of care/support that our residents deserve.

Meet the staff - Katherine House

Find out about what has and hasn't changed here at Katharine House since we entered into our partnership with the NHS in April 2021. At the hospice, we have ten beds, arranged in two spacious four-bedded bays (men and women have separate accommodation). The care is led by consultants in palliative medicine and specialist nurses. Every penny makes the world of difference to the hospice. Could you make a one-off or regular donation to Katharine House? Ways to remember It has been co-designed by parents with lived experience and a multidisciplinary team of health professionals to deliver specialised care to parents experiencing depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges in the first year of their baby’s arrival. We're looking for volunteers to help us co-ordinate some of our fabulous Christmas events. Can you spare some time and support the fundraising team this year?I have been a chef since I left school. I have enjoyed cooking since I can remember, learning at a young age from my mum. We also recognise the importance of those close to our patients. Family and friends are affected too and they may have lots of concerns and questions that we can answer and support. Thank you seems so inadequate after all you have done. From the moment she arrived she felt secure and what a privilege to spend her final time there. The gardens, care and kindness were what she needed. We all felt comfortable being at the hospice and your care extended to us all." The EPiC Resource Centre
