About this deal

By using zip(), you can iterate through first, second, and third at the same time. In the for loop, you assign the element from first to one, from second to two, and from third to three. Then you print the three values. Note: reST, also known as reStructured Text, is a standard format for text files that Python uses for documentation. You’ll often see reST-formatted strings included as docstrings in Python classes and functions. Scripts that read source code files and tell the user about formatting problems are called linters because they look for metaphorical lint in the code.

In this example, you assign the return value of enumerate() to enum. enumerate() is an iterator, so attempting to access its values by index raises a TypeError. When an iterable is used in a for loop, Python automatically calls next() at the start of every iteration until StopIteration is raised. Python assigns the value it retrieves from the iterable to the loop variable.

It comes in a variety of colors, patterns, and styles, including duplicates of granite and marble.

In this example, you pass start=1, which starts count with the value 1 on the first loop iteration. Compare this with the previous examples, in which start had the default value of 0, and see whether you can spot the difference. Practicing With Python enumerate() Using soapstone as a kitchen countertop material is an excellent way to avoid stains because soapstone is an entirely non-porous naturally occurring stone. It has a high percentage of talc, giving the surface a soft texture, similar to a soap. The soapstone is also heat-resistant and bacteria-resistant, though it is susceptible to scratches and dents. The modulus of a counter is the number of states in its count sequence. The maximum possible modulus is determined by the number of flip-flops. For example, a four-bit counter can have a modulus of up to 16 (2 Q1. Consider the partial implementation of a 2-bit counter using T flip-flops following the sequence 0-2-3-1-0, as shown below list ( alphabet [ 1 :: 2 ]) ['b', 'd', 'f', 'h', 'j', 'l', 'n', 'p', 'r', 't', 'v', 'x', 'z'] Copied!Commenting Tips: The most useful comments are those written with the goal of learning from or helping out other students. The nonporous engineered stone quartz comes in a wide range of colors and patterns, allowing you to choose the best design for your kitchen aesthetic. It's an easy-to-clean material that is resistant to mold, mildew, and bacteria, making it a great choice for the kitchen where food is prepared. index = 0 >>> for value in values : ... print ( index , value ) ... index += 1 ... 0 a 1 b 2 c Copied! Assume that the counter and gate delays are negligible. If the counter starts at 0, then it cycles through the following sequence:In Python, a for loop is usually written as a loop over an iterable object. This means you don’t need a counting variable to access items in the iterable. Sometimes, though, you do want to have a variable that changes on each loop iteration. Rather than creating and incrementing a variable yourself, you can use Python’s enumerate() to get a counter and the value from the iterable at the same time! seasons = [ "Spring" , "Summer" , "Fall" , "Winter" ] >>> my_enumerate ( seasons ) >>> list ( my_enumerate ( seasons )) [(0, 'Spring'), (1, 'Summer'), (2, 'Fall'), (3, 'Winter')] >>> list ( my_enumerate ( seasons , start = 1 )) [(1, 'Spring'), (2, 'Summer'), (3, 'Fall'), (4, 'Winter')] Copied!

Important point: Number of flip flops used in counter are always greater than equal to ( log 2n) where n=number of states in counter.A decade counter counts ten different states and then reset to its initial states. A simple decade counter will count from 0 to 9 but we can also make the decade counters which can go through any ten states between 0 to 15(for 4 bit counter).
