About this deal

Unsurprisingly, that’s one of the first things that jumps out when we switch the A10 on. We love the directness of its siblings, but the versatility and sheer spread of sound here is to be admired. It doesn’t have quite the unwavering focus, nor the sheer weight in the low end, but we can move around our test room and still be treated to the same high quality sound. The Audio Pro Addon C5 not only has excellent sound but also has a lot of useful features. The Audio Pro Addon C5 is first and foremost a multiroom speaker. That means it can connect to other Audio Pro speakers and be controlled by a smartphone app. We considered the software to be very user-friendly, and while it can be a little sluggish at times, it performs admirably overall. Since the individual music is managed by your favorite listening service, you won’t waste much time in the Audio Pro app. However, if you want to buy some front speakers for your home theatre, then this article might come in very handy for you.

The retro leather handle has also been scrapped, which makes lugging around the weighty MkII a much more arduous affair. This speaker also excels at creating an expansive soundscape. The speaker produces clean, distortion-free sound even at high levels using а proprietary digital Class-D amplifier technology developed by Audio Pro. Also, digital signal processing (DSP) technology is incorporated into the speaker to further improve the quality and balance of the output signal. Audio Pro has also retuned the DSP settings, which it claims has enhanced the sonic character, but managed to keep the 30-hour battery life (at half volume; 12 hours at full volume) that has made this rugged speaker such an outdoor party favourite.C10 is something you don’t move sound often. The large speaker is superior to the others in terms of sound quality and loudness. It is for audiophiles and enthusiasts. It will go well in a large room where it will fit perfectly. In the middle is the C5 with its all-around performance. It has a small enough footprint but also performs well and gives a good bass response. It is perfect for people who want a good speaker but don’t want to break the bank. In fact, the Addon C3 provides a very open listen. It's punchy when it comes to bass (thanks to a specially tapered reflex port), but those twin tweeters ensure that high-end doesn't get lost in the mix. Whatever kind of music you like to listen to, you can be sure that the C3 will perform perfectly, every time. If you’re waiting for a ‘but’, here it comes. In the same way that we prefer the older model’s leather handle and grille-free aesthetic, it proves a touch more sonically enthusiastic, lively and fun, if a little less refined, than the new speaker.

One of its most notable characteristics is the speaker’s capacity to fill a room with sound. Two cloth dome tweeters measuring 3/4 inches and a 3.5-inch long-throw woofer work together to provide rich, full sound from this speaker. Also, the woofers’ dual magnet technology ensures a distortion-free, powerful bass performance, even at high levels. Audio Pro CCO Jens Henriksen claims the product name was chosen to indicate “the same winning concept as before, only better”. The original has undergone a few tweaks, rather than wholesale change: it keeps its pair of 2cm tweeters, split by a 9cm woofer, as well as its familiar boombox-style chassis, but carries a redesigned reflex port to the rear for optimised bass response. Without losing its predecessor's impeccable timing, the new C10 MkII offers a slightly more even presentation. We stream Daniel Avery and Alessandro Cortini’s Illusion Of Time and are treated to a neutral and transparent presentation where each musical passage and atmospheric element is given its due diligence. Leading edges of notes throughout the more lyrical passages are clearer and more perceptible. The key behind Audio Pro speaker’s superior audio quality is its extensive engineering experience and research and development, resulting in groundbreaking, patent inventions. The ACE-Bass technology plays a big part here, their way to magically get more and better bass from small speakers. However, the company is dedicated to creating better devices every day. The employees use prototype devices at home to continue their tests to perfection. This is a company that strives for greatness in terms of audio. Audio Pro multiroom lineupThe Audio Pro Addon C5 is a new addition to the brand’s multiroom lineup. It’s undeniably a trendy speaker, but does it sound as well as it looks? I think it does sound well. From our experience, we can say that this speaker holds the reputation of Audio Pro. You won’t be disappointed with its performance. Wireless music in all your rooms with real HIFI sound quality. That’s what this multiroom addon lineup brings to you. Play whatever you want from your whole house. The Audio pro multiroom speakers deliver a full HIFI experience to enhance all your music. With great audio quality the Audio Pro Addon C3 vs C5 vs C10, and drumfire speakers deliver your music in style. This gadget can save the pairing information for up to seven different Bluetooth devices, making it convenient to switch between them without constantly re-pairing. If the Audio Pro Addon C10 MkII looks familiar, that's because it's a slightly tweaked upgrade on the original C10. But considering that model won three What Hi-Fi? Awards in a row, that's certainly no bad thing.

Each speaker looks like the face of a ‘koala bear’ from the front. It is a distinguishable body design which is also the driver configuration. Equipped with a pair of 2cm soft dome tweeters and mid/bass drivers (and reflex ports, incidentally) growing in line with the cabinet. The Addon C3 has a 9cm woofer, the Addon C5 and Addon C5A have a 10cm woofer, and the Addon C10 has the highest at 13cm. The Class D optical amplification’s power output increases in equal increments: 15W, 40W, and 80W, respectively. It’s hard to think of a less frustrating setup process. The Audio Pro software searches through all available items attached to the home network (with the possibility of manually inserting any that aren’t already tethered), and they’re all there for you to manipulate. All four speakers house a large circular volume control flanked by sets of four smaller buttons on the top: for power-on, play/pause, input selection and Bluetooth pairing to the left, and pre-sets to its right. They keep time with metronomic precision, but with a harmonic sense that nicely catches rhythmic focus. And the speakers’ expressive speech is a strong plus during their entire show, able to convey extravagant changes as well as delicate complexity. It actually does everything correctly and efficiently. The sound of both C5 and C10 felt very self-assured. Every song or podcast was almost exactly like it should sound. The power usage is double on the C10 which is normal for its larger footprint and heavy sound output. There was a good bass response from both. The bigger C10 weighs more and also performs louder than C5. In a small room, the C5 will perform fine but outside it might struggle. The app is good too, it’s easy and fast to set up. You can also buy 2 or more products and link them for the multiroom feature. It will enable you to play all the devices at the same time.

However, living with the smartphone app is a completely different experience. It’s easy in some ways – only ‘drag and drop’ to partner or separate speakers, either in stereo pairs or multi-room areas, and adjust the bass and treble as required. However, it can be a little buggy at times, and it is definitely constrained in comparison to other competing programs. Despite these changes, the Move shares enough of Sonos' design DNA to slip comfortably into its product line-up. The gently curved sides and metal grille are typical of the brand, although the silicone rubber covered section at the bottom that houses the speaker’s down-firing tweeter and new wave guide does rather stand out.
