About this deal

The plot was also hampered by slow pacing and there was a lack of suspense generally expected in a mystery. While the characters are interesting and very realistic, the story is told with so much irrelevant detail that I never became engrossed. As the residents turn to the duo with suspicion and begin to freeze them out, Margery and Clementine are left with more questions than answers. and as for the working hours and activities of the kitchen and cleaning staff - all a bit silly and nonsensical. Applicability of cancellation rights: Legal rights of cancellation under the Distance Selling Regulations available for UK or EU consumers do not apply to certain products and services.

Margery and Clementine smell a rat when one of their colleagues is found dead in the walk-in freezer of the school kitchen and so begins their unorthodox investigation into her death which results in all manner of escapades. There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. A much-used word, karma is loosely understood as a system of checks and balances in our lives, of good actions and bad deeds, of good thoughts and bad intentions. Margery and Clementine are dinner ladies, or to give them their official title 'Education Centre Nourishment Consultants' (really? From the beginning of finding out about the earrings, speaking to the devil teacher, breaking into Caroline’s late house, speaking with security, finding out about the anagram left behind until seeing the tape, and then one by one, the truth is revealed. The plot is great, the character cast is spot on, and the dialogue and humor is so quick, smart, and addictive. Margery and Clementine are convinced there's something far more nefarious going on, and they take it upon themselves to investigate. I'm a strong believer that stories about LGBTQ people should not need some sort of disclaimer or "coming out" section because they shouldn't be needed in real life. I love classic mysteries--the closest modern equivalent is the cozy-- and especially enjoy those with a British setting so I had high hopes for this one.

The people of Japan believe that everyone has an ikigai - a reason for being; the thing that gets you out of bed each morning.

British Culture, showed everywhere throughout the book in the perfect amount of understanding as a non-English. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes.

Margery and Clementine are convinced there’s something far more nefarious going on, and they take it upon themselves to investigate. It's winter in the small town of Dewstow, and Margery is preparing for her first Christmas as Summerview school's kitchen manager. Now Caine delves into the real stories behind the gangs we think we know so well, revealing the hidden realities behind the myths.

However, they are caught in the crossfire when the stage lights collapse at the first practice, killing Mrs Large, the music teacher.

On the one hand, I liked the premise and I also liked that it was set among the dinner ladies, cleaners and other support staff at the school. I get the feeling that I'm supposed to interact with her like Rose from the Golden Girls but she's such a wet sponge with an inconsistent intellectual presence that I found it impossible to engage with her.I learned the ladies are actually a committed couple although they are pretty grumpy and seem to argue quite a lot. This is, in my humble opinion, a very successful debut and definitely a series that I am looking forward to keeping up with. The goods do not need to be in their original packaging however in a sellable condition, and at your own cost and risk.
