About this deal

dianna and liam could not be any more different personality-wise, but they both are broken in their own way. While I’m generally more of a love at first sight kind of person, the slow burn here was done perfectly. He does the best male and female voices for all different types if characters and he brings them all to life in such an amusing and captivating way. You get fantastic flirty banter and fighting, but also some real emotions and deep feelings between them.

he has suffered for a long time and is constantly reliving the mistakes of his past and pushing away everyone who loves and cares for him — but who knew that it would only take the stubborn and exasperating dianna to be able to break down his walls and make him come out of shell and live life again. I am not sure I 100% understand all the nuances of the world yet, and I feel there is still a lot more to play with and explore in future books, but I didn’t find this hampering my enjoyment of the story by any means. Many years ago, Dianna saved her dying sister by giving her life to a terrifying monster in the deserts of Erioa. Otherwise, this book was fast-paced, interesting, and full of dynamic characters (including the side characters) that made you want to live in their world forever. Overall, this enemies to lovers, one bed, snarky main heroine and the powerful love interest book is perfect for fantasy lovers and I highly recommend! It follows both the protagonists as their stories entwine in dual POVs which connected the story in a totally graceful way. their kinds have been fighting each other for centuries, one is a god and one is a monster so it also has the perfect balance of forbidden love which made this book even more exciting. ON TO THE SECOND BOOK SO I CAN GET MY HEART BROKEN (please Amber Nicole do not break my heart I need them to be happy and I need their world to be happy). And for Samkiel's character, to be honest, I wish he was more scary and intense as described, especially since he has the nickname The World Ender (and yes, I still don't understand him changing his name to Liam; it's so unserious). Thanks, Amber Nicole for making it a thing and for introducing it so naturally that their sexuality is part of their person, not their personality.

This is the first time I have come across such a rational, deep and sincere connection between the protagonist in a book, and I love it. Now, I know you're probably wondering why I rated this only 3 and a half stars if I ended up liking this so much. Nevertheless, I am looking forwards to read the sequel since that ending promises me a corruption arc and some dangerous raging.

This definitely ended on a cliffhanger, one I will be thinking about for a long while until the next book publishes. I have never seen such mature protagonists and even more mature relationship development…they have my heart! Nine hundred pages of filler space, all to find a book that Liam continues to insist does not exist.

But when he touched me, cradled my face as if I was the most fragile, beautiful being in the world, I melted. I didn't remember how long we talked, but somewhere amidst her laughter and smiles, I decided I would rip the world apart for her. Dianna is a smart and sassy, fierce and strong female MC who is also a VILLIAN, the most feared creature and a dangerous weapon. I wanted her hands on every single part of me, and I wanted it more than I had ever wanted anything in my life. Now she serves as his right hand, taking down his enemies while he lords her sister's safety over her head.

All of them had depths to them and felt really well developed, even the "small sidecharacters" who were just mentioned on a few pages. The World building was absolutely amazing, I loved how everything came together more and more as you continued reading. She is also cunning, funny, passionate and soo damn strong 😍😍😍😍 You can tell how much I love her, right? It was so thrown in your face how much Dianna loves her, and honestly, my thought process was, okay, this book has been advertised that Dianna is a villain. And the magic system is extraordinary, it has every creature you could imagine and it was so interesting. Gave up her life to save her sister's life, Dianna became a monster that would do anything her master told her, even secure an ancient relic, The Book of Azrael.
