About this deal

Using up to ten cardboard boxes you can hide the treat or toy in one of the boxes and have your dog indicate which box it is in. Pretty soon, your dog will be going through your entire repertoire of tricks and coming up with new ones just to earn that treat for creative thinking. Have Fido “stay” at the bottom of the staircase, throw a toy to the top of the stairs, then give your dog the cue to chase the toy.

Simply sit back with your bag of treats, and any time the dog makes a move that edges them closer to the keys, say "hot" with enthusiasm and toss a treat to the dog near the keys.

Agility training – Whether for fun or sport, agility training is a great way to get your dog active in a controlled environment. Book a 1-2-1 session with one of our trainers to brainstorm ideas for games that are tailor made to you dog’s interests and abilities. You can use anything that's safe for your dog so make sure it's stable and don't use anything slippery or sharp. You can always make their toys more exciting by ensuring you’re engaging with them by playing fetch or tug.

If we are having bad weather I use find the treats, my dogs seem to really enjoy it and I just use their kibble. Place a treat under the left cup, then slide the cups to switch places, so that the cup with the treat is now on your right. Your woof could weave around stacks of books, shimmy under chairs, hop over blankets or jump through a hula hoop! See if your dog can use its eyes, nose, and thinking skills to find the treat after the old switcheroo. When you first play this game, you might want to poke holes in the containers to make the treats easier to smell.Put your stuffed Kong in the freezer overnight and give it to your dog in the morning as you’re leaving. Just remember, it takes time to build these skills, and the journey is all part of the game, so have patience.

Hide and seek might not seem all that complex or entertaining to us, but a lot of dogs get a real kick out of it. So if you’re looking for some indoor games to play with your dog look no further; here’s 33 ways to keep your dog busy indoors. This will ultimately make excursions to the dog park or other off-leash areas much more safe and enjoyable, but it is a game that can be played any time, anywhere. Scent work – This can be done with treats and toys or you can also use essential oils, cinnamon, or mint.Getting your dog to use its nose to find hidden treasure is a great way to stimulate its brain and teach your dog to use all of its senses.

When you get close enough to him, Fido should take a step back, and you will reward him with a treat!By playing with your dog a few times a day you can decrease the likelihood of them developing destructive habits such as excessive barking or chewing. Remote control toys – If you’re looking for a fun way to get your dog running around, lead them with a remote control car. Impawtant Note: While your dog can get a sip of sprinkler water, you and the kids should stick to drinking water from inside the house. I am a very sensitive person and i completely understand why you couldn’t be with your dog, even though you wanted to.
