About this deal

This phone has been (and still is) [2] very popular for its robustness, simplicity and long battery life years after being discontinued as a product. There’s a WAP manager which lets you edit your bookmarks and settings using a proper keyboard and is great for using the web to find WAP addresses and then pipe them into the phone.

I'd much rather have a W124 than a W211, despite some of the advances in technology (in particular safety) over the years. Was thinking that putting a simple pay as you go chip in it, at least that way, IF the wife or I while out lost our phone, or it got broke or whatever, there is the one in the centre console. They mention that it looks and performs like brand new, has good battery life and that it lasts two weeks in standby. The model is similar to the earlier Nokia 6310 with the addition of tri-band reception, Java and a blue LCD Screen (as opposed to the earlier green). Now on my third 6310i in 10 years, the first two lasted about 5 years each of very hard use and both had been dropped many many times, the last one rattled ominously for about eighteen months before finally dying. Apart from the lack of Bluetooth SAP (and therefore connectivity with car or syncing phone numbers with the computer) the specs of the 6310i are perfect: no camera, no colour screen, reliable and easy to use keypad and >1 week battery life.

The phone has the usual good Nokia games—Snake II and Space Impact as well as the pinball game, Bumper. It was a mistake not to have USB on the 9210 a year ago; this is something Nokia should have got right by now. This means you can’t even copy the contacts out of the old one when your service provider sends you a new SIM.

The Nokia 6310i is a mobile phone from Nokia first introduced at the CeBIT fair in March 2002 with sales starting later that year and discontinued in late 2005, it was Nokia's first tri-band phone offering (GSM 900/1800/1900). This global roaming GSM phone features highspeed GPRS / HSCSD data, Bluetooth, custom ringtones, EMS picture messaging, Infrared, distinctive ring, J2ME support, Internet browsing capabilities, voice memo and voice dialing.

There are many reasons I like Nokia6310 - battery life, form, simplicity, voice dialing and compatible build in hands free in my vehicle. this is a best phone i ever use since 2002 till now, its still working perfectly with original battrey and cover face.Value for money, also it wont depreciate in value, will work if unlocked on any system all over Europe, possibly USA. Bluetooth lets you connect wirelessly to a compatible PC or other Bluetooth-enabled devices up to ten meters away. First phone sent by Mobile Fun had noisy and unreliable Bluetooth function but replacement was promptly made without demur. I agree this was my choice, rather than send it back to the company in Nottingham I had bought it from, as this would have taken even longer and having sold me a dud product I didn't feel happy dealing with them any further. Respectively, I use a camera, an iPod and a computer for those functions, not a phone which could do all well, but not take as good pictures as a DSLR, etc. Also, after half year of usage the main switch on/off button on the top of the phone is refusing to work. It’s well worth joining Club Nokia just to get a year’s free tech support and the ability to send WAP settings over the air by text message.
