About this deal

Also, the Farpoint has a more substantial backpanel than the Osprey Porter 46, so we didn't have to pay as much attention to what we packed against our backs to ensure awkwardly shaped, hard objects didn't end up protruding into our backs. the only issue I’m having is how to attach the day pack to the main pack…when I got it I removed it without paying attention to how it was…. The daypack also has a padded part for my laptop and a small pocket on the front where I keep passports and money for easy access. I also love the ability to zip away the main straps of the pack – it makes the entire bag looks so much smaller and neater, which is perfect for flights and long-haul journeys when I’m separated from my bag.

I’ll breakdown what I love about the Osprey Farpoint 55, my experience with it, and everything you need to know to decide if it’s the right backpack for you. It has a detachable day pack which is also very comfortable, and further makes this pack your all-in-one luggage piece. But of course you can use that pouch when using the 40 on its own, and not use it when using it with the daypack. There’s nothing elasticated on the front of the daypack to quickly stuff in a jumper or rain jacket. You did mention that the Farpoint/Fairview 40 is a size more suited for summer in Eu or trips in Asia.

Durable fabrics in high-wear areas combine with smart design to create a lightweight and tough travel pack that will last a lifetime. On the inside of the main bag is a large zipped mesh pocket which is ideal for dirty laundry or small travel accessories that you want to keep at hand. The suspension system can be protected if you're checking this bag by zipping a protective flap over the shoulder and hip belts.

The shoulder straps have load lifters to help you with the pack’s weight, which is essential considering how much you can shove inside.Travel far and light with the Farpoint Family, designed to keep up with fast-moving globetrotters exploring new and exciting places. My only con for this is not the size of the zipper rings but that the pulls on the zipper are somewhat awkwardly placed, and if the bag is completely open, it can be hard to get the zipper started to close it back up. Osprey’s lightest travel pack, the Farpoint can be carried like a backpack but packed like a suitcase.
